This is my journey with cancer. I have learned so much since I was diagnosed with colon cancer that had already spread to my liver in August 07. I have learned so much about strength in myself, my family and my friends. It's not always a cookie cutter pretty blog, but it's honest and it's from my heart and that's what counts. Read on to see how I am beating cancer one day at a time

Oh Tami - I am beginning to think doctors and staff do not understand your cancer at all .... too rare? Why do you have to be the one? We are not to question God, but at times I do wonder what he has up his sleeve. Praying for better days for you -

It's not for lack of understanding of the cancer itself, its lack or understanding (or maybe lack of respect) of what the cancer patient is going thru, and the nurses Saturday afternoon had none what so ever.
Tami has never asked for special treatment, even times when she could have played the "cancer card" she doesn't. But at some point people around her have to sit back and think, hey, she isn't suffering from a in-grown toenail, she is fighting for her life and lost so much of herself already. Some people take life too much for granted to comprehend that, that is not to say that I can fully appreciate what Tami is going thru, but acknowledging that I dont is half the trip to better understanding her plight.
I am sorry to hear they couldn't find the right combo of drugs. I am hoping you'll be able figure it out yourself -- after all, it's your body, you feel best what is working and what is not.
Wishing you all the best,
